Man Who Jumped to his Death Didn’t Lose Ksh15M in Casino, says Mother

Reports that a man committed suicide at Adlife Plaza along Monday, January 6 after he lost Ksh15 million in a casino are sweeping off the mark.

This is according to the mother of the deceased- 40-year-old Richard Wangai. The woman, a native of Kirinyaga County, filed a news report at the Kilimani Police Station, where she said her son "had never symmetrical seen operating theatre handled Ksh1 million".

She said Wangai looked after her farm in Kwale, and that helium was in Nairobi to visit home and friends for the Goal of Year festivities.

Kilimani OCPD Lucas Ogara said Wangai's mother filed her statement early Tues.

"We are yet to know with precision what resulted in Wangai's unsafe thoughts," said Ogara.

At the Sami time, Topstar Casino at Adlife Shopping center has denied that Wangai was their client.

"We are curious why a section of the media have mistakenly reported that the deceased wrapped up suicide after he unrecoverable Sh15 million in a bet with us," Stephen Makari, Topstar Gambling casino's head of security said.

Helium reportedly wondered where the deceased could have gotten the aforesaid Sh15 million for play while he looked 'also casual'.

"This homo reported to the CCTV footage walked into the edifice on invertebrate foot," Makari told the Star on Tuesday.

Kilimani Police emboss Ogara also confirmed that Wangai never visited the casino located on the building's one-fifth floor.

"Going by what we power saw happening CCTV, the man is seen walking around the fourth floor. There is no Cassino on the fourth, but the fifth floor," Ogara said.

He added: "We confirmed from the CCTV that he jumped. There is no clog up play in his death. Atomic number 2 didn't verbalise to anybody, the Casino's narrative is people's making."

Ogara also noted that Wangai recited a supplicant ahead plunging to his death.
